Blue Ford Bronco from a low front three-quarter on a palm-lined Beverly Hills street

Off Road

Blue Ford Bronco

Four doors, a removable hard top and all-terrain tyres — the one car here that would rather be on gravel.

Every other car in this fleet is happiest on tarmac. This one is not, and that is the point of it.

Boxy, upright, round lamps in a flat grille, square arches over knobbly tyres. The Bronco is drawn to be useful rather than quick, which makes it the odd one out here — and the only car we let that is genuinely better at the end of a dirt road than at the start of one.

Blue Ford Bronco on a canyon road above Los Angeles at dusk
01At the edge of a canyon road above the city with the lamps lit. This is the half of Los Angeles the rest of the fleet does not see.

In a city of canyon roads and fire roads that turns out to be a real advantage rather than a costume. It reaches the trailhead above Malibu, the beach with the sand approach, and Joshua Tree for a weekend without anyone having to think about ground clearance. The seating position is high, the glass is enormous, and it does not sulk about coming back dusty.

The all-terrain tyres and the soft springs are what make it worth renting: they are built for the trail at the end of the coast road.

Queries

Where can I rent a Ford Bronco in Los Angeles?
Nizo Luxury rents the Ford Bronco in Los Angeles — +1 (424) 303-6496. It is $199 a day; we bring it to your hotel or your home, or you collect it at no charge from our office on Robertson Boulevard.
How much does it cost to rent a Ford Bronco in Los Angeles?
The blue Bronco is $199 a day. A shorter booking is priced day by day; the saving on this car arrives at the twenty-one-day block, which the quote applies for you. Delivery to our Beverly Hills partner hotels is complimentary.
Can I actually take it off road?
On graded dirt and fire roads, yes — it is the only car in the fleet we say that about. Rock crawling, deep sand and water crossings are not covered. Tell us the route before the trip if you are unsure.
Does the roof come off?
The hard top does, and so do the panels above the front seats. Say which you want when you book and the car is prepared that way for the hour you collect it.
Can I see the dates before I call?
Yes — the diary on this page is the live fleet calendar. If a date is open there, it is open.

Renting the Ford Bronco: the short answers

Can I book the Ford Bronco with a driver?
Yes. A chauffeur is from $100 an hour on a two-hour minimum, added to the car at its day rate — $599 for a four-hour evening in this car. No security deposit is taken on a chauffeured booking. The same car can be driven to the event and yours with the keys the morning after; the chauffeur service page has the runs and the hours.
What do I need to rent the Ford Bronco, and can international guests book?
A driver of 21 or over with a licence held at least two years — between 21 and 24 a young-driver fee of $50 a day applies on this car, and under 21 is considered case by case. A major credit card in the primary renter's name for the refundable hold, and cover for the car: your own full-coverage policy if it extends to a rental, or our Protection plan arranged with the booking. International guests rent on a passport and a home-country licence; no International Driving Permit is needed. The hold is released 5–7 business days after a clean return, longer only if there is damage to price. If the age floor or the cover is the thing in the way, the same car goes out with a driver instead — that booking asks neither of you.
How far ahead should I book the Ford Bronco, and can I change the dates?
There is no notice period: the calendar on this page shows the days it is free, and once a booking is paid a car that is free can be on its way to you in about an hour — same day included. Moving the dates is free, as often as you need, outside the last day before the start; a change inside it keeps one day's rate. What comes back if you cancel is set out in our terms and conditions.
Can the Ford Bronco be delivered to my hotel, my home or LAX?
Yes. Delivery is complimentary to the Beverly Wilshire, the Four Seasons at Doheny, L’Ermitage and the Maybourne, and collection from our Robertson Boulevard office costs nothing. LAX is $150 both ways with the car in the airport parking structure or $300 both ways to the terminal, half that for one direction. Any other address is priced by distance from the office, $75 one way inside 10 miles, and itemised on the quote before you pay.
How many miles are included, and can I take the Ford Bronco out of California?
Every car carries its own daily mileage allowance, and yours arrives in writing with the booking confirmation, together with the per-mile rate for anything over it. The car may leave the state — Las Vegas, Arizona, up the coast — as long as you tell us the plan in advance and keep the allowance in mind; it comes home to Los Angeles, since there is no one-way drop in another city.
What does a weekend in the Ford Bronco cost, and can I rent it by the hour?
$398 for two days and $597 for three, before the Protection plan, tax and any delivery — there is no separate weekend rate, and one day is the minimum on a Saturday too. The day is the shortest self-drive booking; by the hour, the car goes out with a driver, from $100 an hour on a two-hour minimum.
